Woman facing charges after Black Friday assault in Rochester


ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Winona woman is facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting a loss prevention specialist over the weekend.

According to police, 24-year-old Shonna Booker of Winona was arrested at JC Penny in Rochester on Black Friday at about 4:20 p.m.

Police say she was spotted shop lifting by a security guard, and when she was approached, Booker sprayed mace in the woman's eyes.

A police officer was in Apache Mall, and was able to quickly respond to the incident. Booker was arrested and is facing multiple charges, police say.
