Canadian Brass Band spreads holiday cheer

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Canadian brass band performed at the Mayo Civic Center over the weekend, putting Rochester residents in the holiday spirit.

The group was founded 43 years ago and travels all over the US and Canada. They also just released their newest Christmas CD which features all new music.

Sunday night, they entertained crowds with their show, Canadian Brass Christmas. The Canadian Brass Band says they truly enjoy their time in Rochester, making it a regular stop.

"We were here in the 70s we were here in the 80s we were here twice in the nineties, we were just here five years ago., and we're back again so we're really appreciative of the Rochester audience to allow us to come back and play with them," said band member Chuck Daellenbach.

The group says they specialize in baroque music, and have developed a unique sound that has been emulated by other musicians across the globe.
