GREEN BAY (WKOW) – Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews will take the field this weekend ditching the club and playing with a cast on his broken thumb against the New York Giants.
There's no denying that Matthews is an animal on the field but you might be surprised by the type of animal number 52 compared himself to in a recent interview.
Matthews says, "You think you can play with a club, and this was my first time playing with a club, but there is something about it. It's kind of like a cat, if you cut its' whiskers off, it loses its' balance. I've never done that before , but I've heard that's what happens. That's how I felt. You have to overcome that, so I'm hoping with my fingers back, I'll be like a feline who got his whiskers back."
