Holmen, WISCONSIN (WXOW) When the baseball season comes around Holmen figures to be a favorite to repeat as MVC champs.
Jeren Kendall and Ryan Wesely are just two of the reasons why.
Kendall and Wesely finalized their college plans Thursday.
Kendall will play baseball at Vanderbilt on scholarship.
He was a 1st team all conference selection and Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association 3rd team all state last spring.
Wesely will play at St Cloud State.
He was the pitcher of the year in the MVC last spring and a first team all-conference selection.
"I'm feeling pretty good. It really hasn't hit me yet. I guess just the fact that I'm going to Vanderbilt and it's 12 hours away I'm looking forward to it. I'm pretty excited about," Kendall said.
"The main decision factor is the coaching staff. I wanted to get away a little bit too. That's why I went with St. Cloud," said Wesely.
Kendall hit .373 for the Vikings last season.
Wesely was 6-1 with a 1.78 earned run average.
