Woman Sentenced for Selling Oxycodone in La Crosse

Madison, WISCONSIN (WXOW) – A Minnesota woman is sentenced to federal prison for selling Oxycodone in the La Crosse area.  Police said Erica Litsheim, 24, from Rochester, was purchasing the pills from Atlanta and Miami, and then shipping them using Federal Express to La Crosse.

Officers said Litsheim sold about $354,000 worth of Oxycodone pills.  Some of the pills were Federal Expressed in stuffed animals to several people between Nov. 2008 and Jan. 2010.

Wednesday, a U.S. District Judge sentenced Litsheim to one year in prison.  She was facing 70 to 87 months in prison but the sentenced was reduced because the court said Litsheim had committed the crime to feed her drug addiction.  Also the court applauded Litsheim for earning her GED while being incarcerated and for her sobriety.
