Man indicted in Minn. double killing

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. (AP) -- A grand jury has indicted a Minnesota man on first-degree murder charges in the shooting deaths of his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.

The Yellow Medicine County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 28-year-old Andrew Dikken of Renville on six counts of first-degree murder.

Court records show Dikken made his first appearance on the new charges Tuesday. He previously was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for the Sept. 2 shootings.

Dikken is accused of shooting 26-year-old Kara Monson and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Chris Panitzke of Redwood Falls, at Monson's Granite Falls home.

Monson died at the scene. Panitzke died of his injuries several days later.

The West Central Tribune reports that Dikken remains in jail on $3 million bail. He was arrested after a two-week manhunt.
