No injuries reported after car rear-ended school bus near Apache Mall

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A car rear-ended a school bus near Apache Mall Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on 16th Street Southwest at about 2:45 p.m.

First Student Location Manager Jon Goetz said the 15 students on board and driver were not hurt.

He said a car cut directly in front of the bus. When the driver steered the bus away from the car, a vehicle rear-ended the bus.  Goetz praised the driver for his quick reaction and handling the situation safely.

Goetz said the bus had minor damage. He said he personally drove the 15 students home.
