Commercial drivers required to certify by Jan. 2014

Posted:

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 47) -- If you drive a commercial vehicle in Minnesota, the state has a reminder for you. You could lose your driving privileges, if you don't certify by January.

The Department of Public Safety says 46 percent of commercial drivers are not compliant with state regulations.

Commercial licensed drivers, including school bus, semi-truck and garbage truck drivers, are being asked to self-certify with the state and include medical documentation by Jan. 30, 2014.

The forms can be found on the Driver and Vehicle Services Division website.
