MANTORVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Dodge County Sheriff hopes to hire three more full-time deputies in 2014.
Sheriff Jim Jensen presented the Dodge County Board with the proposal Tuesday.
The county currently has eight part-time deputies. Jensen is asking the board permission to make three of them full-time.
Jensen said he uses the deputies a lot for help with patrols and special events, and making three of those deputies full-time would ease scheduling challenges.
Jensen said the Dodge County Sheriff's Office currently has 21 full-time deputies.
The Dodge County Board will take another look at the proposal at its next meeting.
