Man leads Austin police on early-morning chase


AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- A traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Austin lead to an early-morning chase that ended at an apartment complex.

Police attempted to apprehend 22-year-old Zane Roberts of Austin at about 2 a.m. Friday the parking lot of Mandolin Place Apartments.

Earlier Friday morning, officers stopped two vehicles for driving erratically on I-90 near the 175 mile marker. Police say the rear vehicle took off, nearly hitting an officer.

Officers stopped the vehicle at Mandolin Place Apartments.

That's when police say the driver, 22-year-old Zane Roberts of Austin, fled on foot before being arrested.

Police say Roberts is facing charges of 4th degree DWI and attempted first degree assault on an officer.
