KELLOGG, Minn. (KTTC) -- There have been sightings of a strange creature at a toy store in Kellogg. He hangs out in the rafters of Lark Toys, and employees there are welcoming him with open arms.
His name is Raul the River Giant, and he was created by artist Scott Gray-Burlingame over the course of six weeks.
The legend of Raul says he lived on the mighty Mississippi for some time, but all the locks and dams cut him off from the people to whom he spread good energy and peace.
According to Scott's wife, Miranda, that's when Raul started looking for a new home.
"Part of his magic is to spread the good energy with the new people. He was kind of looking for a new home. He got kind of lonely there. So he found Lark Toys and decided to kind of come and celebrate life amongst the river of people who come flowing through here every year," Gray-Burlingame said.
Miranda went on to say that Raul will not be the only new addition coming to live at Lark. She says Scott has been busy in the toy workshop creating several other creatures to inhabit the toy store and keep Raul company.
