ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Olmsted County Board of Commissioners is considering expanding the Root River Regional Park and Recreational Area near Stewartville.
But before they do, an official map must be adopted, and some property owners will have their chance to say what land they want included in the plan.
According to Olmsted County Public Works Department, property owners with land under consideration to be included in this map have been invited to a public meeting.
Some property owners we talked to worried an expansion project would mean their land could be acquired if the park is expanded. But the county said they are in the early mapping stages and no official plans have been made.
Staff will discuss what this proposed map will mean for property owners and answer questions at the public meeting on Nov. 4 at Pleasant Grove Town Hall at 6 p.m.
