Need help navigating the Wisconsin Healthcare Marketplace?

Posted:
SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Are you looking for help in signing up for Healthcare?

The Sparta Area School District is providing open computer lab times for parents to access the Healthcare Marketplace and Scenic Bluffs is providing certified application counselors to assist in the process.

The Healthcare Marketplace has been set up to provide information on how to apply for health insurance coverage including Medicaid, BadgerCare Plus, and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Sparta will offer two opportunities if you want help: Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m., and Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. Both sessions will be held at Meadowview Intermediate School, 1225 N. Water St. in Lab E117 and will have someone with Spanish language skills available.

Parents planning on coming should have with them all participant social security numbers or document number for legal immigrants, employer and income information for every household member who needs coverage (pay stubs or W-2 forms) and policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of the household. In addition, it will be helpful to have the "Employee Coverage Tool" completed. Copies of this form are also available in all school offices.
