Superhero Scramble raises money for Children's Museum

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC)--The Minnesota Children's Museum of Rochester hosted their first annual "Superhero Scramble" on Saturday.

"I think it was more challenging than we were expecting," said the Gastner family from Lake City.  "The obstacles were welcome because we got to stop running for a second to do something that was probably more challenging than running straight forward. It was a lot of fun."

Family teams of 4 were challenged by more than 20 obstacles on the course.  The Children's Museum invited families to dress up as their favorite Superhero in order to channel their superpowers into overcoming this physical feat.

"We're also helping them understand that you can be a superhero every day and when you play with your kids and parents play with their kids, that's a superhero kind of thing," said Rachelle Bernard, Events Coordinator at the Museum.  "We want the kids to see the parents as heroes in their lives."

The $35 team entrance fees will go towards helping the museum reach their goal of raising $2,000.
