AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Austin Police Department is getting its hands on a military vehicle for responding to certain situations.
One of the many Humvees being taken out of service by the U.S. Department of Defense is being delivered to the department.
The armored vehicles are being offered to law enforcement agencies free of charge. Austin police say they'll use the Humvee to respond to special incidents, searches and severe weather events.
