EYOTA, Minn. (KTTC) -- State Sen. Carla Nelson met with MnDOT officials Monday after a recent accident that injured eight people at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 42 in Eyota.

MnDOT officials say flashing LED stop signs and rumble strips have been installed on Highway 42 since a community meeting about the intersection in April.

MnDOT is looking into a roundabout as a permanent solution. However an initial study showed this particular intersection did not meet the criteria for a roundabout.
