Police catch man trying to break into Rochester bar


ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Police caught a thief red-handed trying to break into a Rochester bar.

According to Rochester police, 27-year-old Deusten White was arrested at about 2:40 a.m. Tuesday when he tried getting into Brother's Bar and Grill, located in Soldiers Field Plaza.

Police say an employee inside the bar heard banging at the back door and called police.

When officers arrived, police say, they found White using a pick ax, attempting to break in.

According to police, White also had a gun and is suspected of burglarizing a nearby storage unit earlier in the morning.

Police say White faces several charges, including 2nd degree burglary, and burglary with a dangerous weapon.
