Police request dental records of missing woman

Posted:

ROSEMOUNT, Minn. (AP) -- Police have asked for the family of a missing University of Minnesota student for dental records after a body was discovered in a ditch in Rice County.

Twenty-year-old Anarae Schunk disappeared more than a week ago when she apparently left a Burnsville bar with her former boyfriend who is being held for fatally shooting a man outside the establishment that night.

Anarae's brother, Tyson Schunk, says police requested the dental records late Monday night so a medical examiner can quickly determine if the body found near Lonsdale is his sister. Schunk tells the Star Tribune the body was found about 30 minutes from where his sister was last seen.

The current girlfriend of Schunk's ex-boyfriend, Anthony Lee Nelson, told authorities that Schunk accompanied them back to her townhouse in Rosemount after they left the Burnsville bar.
