ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Mental Illness affects many Americans. So Saturday, the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness helped to raise awareness of the condition.
The organization's Southeastern Minnesota chapter held their annual NAMI-WALK: Changing Minds One Step at a Time event at the RCTC Regional Sports Center.
More than 250-people registered for the event that helps raise money to support the local organization's programs which service thousands of people in the region.
Officials say so far, the event has raised over 25,000 dollars for NAMI's Southern Minnesota chapter. Organizers say, though, a final count won't be revealed until later this week when all donations have come in.
KTTC's own Daniel Wolfe emcee'd the event.
