Man hurt in Goodhue County hunting accident

HAY CREEK, Minn. (KTTC) -- A St. Paul man was injured Sunday after he was hit by a buckshot from a stray shotgun blast.

The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office says Thao Yang, 28, of St. Paul, was hunting in the Hay Creek Recreation area when the accident happened. Authorities in Goodhue County didn't find out about the incident until they were contacted by St. John's Hospital in Maplewood shortly before 5:20 p.m.

Yang's injuries were non-life threatening.
