Rochester fire officials: Weekend fire 'suspicious'

Posted:

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A weekend fire outside a Rochester apartment is being investigated as suspicious.

Rochester fire crews were called to the 40 block of 4th Street Southeast at about 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

That's where officials say a small fire was burning in an entryway of an apartment complex.

A police officer on-scene extinguished the blaze, which officials say only caused damage to some furniture.

No one was hurt, but the Rochester fire officials tell us the fire is suspicious.

Their investigation is continuing.
