ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The official start to the flu season is a few weeks off but doctors offices and pharmacies are offering flu shots.
New this year are a shot and spray called a quadrivalent, which protects against four different strains of the flu. In addition, there are preservative and egg-free vaccines available this year.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimate of up to 139 million doses of the flu vaccine will be available.
Health experts says it's never too early to get the flu shot.
