2 arrested in Minn. store manager kidnapping

LORETTO, Minn. (AP) -- Police say two men are under arrest after following the manager of a Minneapolis Verizon retail store to his western metro home and kidnapping him.

Authorities say a woman called police to report her 37-year-old husband had been abducted at gunpoint from their driveway in Loretto by two men in a red Dodge Charger. Officers used police dogs and a State Patrol helicopter to search for the men Wednesday night.

KMSP-TV reports says when authorities caught up with the suspects, the two men fled on foot, but were later arrested and booked into the Hennepin County jail.

Medina police say the suspects apparently planned to take the manager's keys so they could get into the Verizon store and burglarize it.

The victim was not hurt.
