Rochester police searching for robbery suspect

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Rochester police are on the lookout Thursday for a man they say robbed two Apache Mall workers at gunpoint and then took off.

The incident happened at about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday in the Apache Mall parking lot.

That's where two employees of a mall business were taking a deposit bag to the bank, when police say they were approached by an armed suspect.

The male suspect grabbed the bag, police say, pushed one of the victims to the ground and took off on foot. Neither employee was hurt.

Later, police used a K-9 to search for the suspect but no one was found.

And police are now asking for your help.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 5-foot 6-inches tall, wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and a white mask covering his face.

If you see anyone matching this description, you're asked to call Rochester police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
