MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Twins will open the 2014 season on the road. But they shouldn't expect much better weather than if they opened the season at Target Field.
The Twins will start next season on March 31 at the Chicago White Sox, which could make for a chilly opener. Major League Baseball released the 2014 schedule on Tuesday.
After the opening series in Chicago, the Twins will head to Cleveland for a three-game series before coming home for the first time.
The Twins home opener will be on April 7 against the Oakland Athletics. That will start a run of three straight series at home, including games against the Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays.
The Yankees will visit Target Field over the Fourth of July holiday, July 3-6.
