ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- One woman is in the hospital Sunday evening after her car became almost completely submerged in Silver Lake.
Just after 6 p.m. Sunday evening, the car flew off of the road at a curve on West Silver Lake Drive Northeast.
Witnesses tell KTTC that two men and a woman nearby ripped off their socks and shoes and ran into the lake to help.
They were able to unlock the driver's door and bring her back to land, where they were met by the Rochester Fire Department, Rochester Police Department, and Gold Cross Ambulance.
The driver was then transported to the hospital. The Rochester Police Department said the driver was suffering from a medical condition, which may have contributed to the accident.
