Police catch Rochester man red-handed in burglary


ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A young man is in custody Friday after police say he was caught red-handed stealing from his neighbor.

Rochester police say 18-year-old Jose Campos broke into his neighbor's house on the 1800 block of 18 1/2 Street Northwest at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

The woman was home at the time and barricaded herself in the bathroom while she called police.

Police say when Campos noticed she was home, he fled.

Police later arrested him at his residence.

He faces charges of first degree burglary and damage to property.
