Minnesota Supreme Court denies CapX2020 appeal


PINE ISLAND, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Minnesota Supreme Court has denied an appeal by Oronoco Township to change the route of the CapX2020 project.

A state Supreme Court justice decided Tuesday to deny an appeal to change the route over the Zumbro River.

The CapX2020 project will expand the electric transmission grid over 800 miles across the Midwest.

The main line will follow Highway 52 from Hampton to Rochester.

Another line will go east from Pine Island to the Mississippi River.
