DETROIT - Minnesota Twins All-Star catcher Joe Mauer has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with concussion-like symptoms.
Mauer was pulled from the lineup in Detroit on Tuesday night after experiencing dizziness during batting practice.
To replace Mauer on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled first baseman and outfielder Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester.
In 29 games for the Twins, Colabello hit .221 (19-for-86) with one double, four home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and nine walks.
In 89 games for the Red Wings, he hit .352 (119-for-338) with 25 doubles, 24 home runs and 76 RBI.
He will be in uniform for Wednesday's game in Detroit.
