NORTHWOOD, Iowa (KTTC) -- An arraignment is scheduled for the man charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a Northwood woman.
Tyrone Washington, Jr., 39, is due in Worth County District Court on Sept. 3.
He's charged in the death of Justina Smith, 30, on August 5 at Swensrud Park.
Washington is being held in the Worth County Jail on $500,000 cash-only bond.
An autopsy concluded that Smith died from "multiple sharp force injuries" and classified her death as a homicide.
