Man accused of hitting pedestrian while driving drunk

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A man is accused of hitting a pedestrian in Rochester-- while driving drunk.

20-year-old Albert Ryans faces a charge of criminal vehicular operation.

Rochester police tell us he was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence just before 10 p.m. Saturday on the 1600 block of South Broadway.

At the same time, officers responded to the 10 block of 16th Street Southwest, where a 60-year-old man was hit by a car minutes earlier.

Police found Ryans was responsible for that collision.

The pedestrian was taken to St. Marys hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
