UPDATE: Suspect in custody in connection with stabbing at Northwood, Iowa park

NORTHWOOD, Iowa (KTTC) -- The Worth County Sheriff's Office says a suspect is in custody after a stabbing at a park in Northwood, Iowa.

The stabbing happened late Monday morning in Swensrud Park. It's not clear how severe the victim's injuries are. However, the Worth County Sheriff's Office says there's no further threat to the public. 

Authorities combed the park earlier but they cleared the scene late this afternoon.
