ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The rumble of motorcycle engines could be heard across the area Sunday as riders cruised for a cause at the 13th Annual Cruise to benefit Rochester's Ronald McDonald House.
The riders began the 140 mile ride at the RCTC campus Sunday morning, and from there traveled to St. Charles, Winona, Rushford, and Preston before heading back to Rochester.
More than 1,100 riders took part in the event, which is expected to raise more than $140,000 dollars for the Ronald McDonald House.
Motorcycle enthusiasts and riders alike say although it was chilly out, the cause made the day worthwhile.
All Cruise proceeds benefit the 1,100 children and families who call the Ronald McDonald House a "home away from home" while receiving medical treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester each year.
