Police arrest man Thursday after 2-week search

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- After searching for him for almost two weeks, Rochester police have arrested a man after he initially led them on a dangerous high-speed chase.

32-year-old Joshua Jacobson was the target of a search warrant earlier in July on the 1500 block of 10th Avenue Southeast in Rochester.

At that time, Jacobson ran from officers and sent them on a high-speed chase that led to Eyota.

On Wednesday, police located Jacobson in a trailer at Oronoco Estates in Oronoco. When officers arrived to arrest him, he took off again.

They decided not to pursue a chase, but did set a canine track and even sent a helicopter to help locate Jacobson. That attempted failed, police say, partly because of the dark, dense skies at the time.

Thursday afternoon, a Pine Island resident called 911 after spotting Jacobson.

Officers initiated a felony car stop on the 4300 block of East Frontage Road and arrested Jacobson without incident.

He faces charges related to the fleeing and to his outstanding warrants.
