Austin police searching for stolen guns


AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- Austin police are looking for several stolen guns after a burglary over the weekend.

The incident happened in the 500 block of Second Street Southwest in Austin on Saturday. Police responded to a home in the neighborhood just after 1:30 p.m.

According to police, more than 5,000 dollars worth of firearms were taken from the home, including rifles, pistols and ammunition.

The burglars also made off with pocket knives, hunting knives and jewelry.

Police have no suspects at this time, but detectives have alerted area pawn shops to be on the lookout for the stolen merchandise.
