Highway 14 bridge construction project detours drivers

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Detours from roadwork on the Highway 14 bridge over Highway 52 in Rochester may have caused drivers a few headaches this weekend.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's web site, the bridge closed Friday night at 9 p.m. and isn't scheduled to be reopened until Monday morning at 6 a.m.
Drivers were detoured from 52 South to 16th Street East to Highway 63 North then back onto Highway 14.
Constructions workers worked on removing and repairing bridge decks and pavement, improving drainage structures, and replacing guardrails, medians, and bridge joints.
According to Mn DOT, the estimated cost of the project is 1 point 6 million dollars.
