Police searching for man involved in alleged sexual assault

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Police are asking for your help to find a man who forced a woman into his vehicle and then sexually assaulted her early Saturday morning.

The woman says the incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. early Saturday when she was walking along north Broadway Avenue in Rochester.

She says a man driving a big pick-up pulled up next to her and asked if she needed a ride. When she said no, she says he grabbed her arm and shoved her in the passengers side of the vehicle.

The woman says he drove around for a while before stopping near the intersection of Northern Hills Drive and North Broadway.

The victim says he forced her out of the pick-up and sexually assaulted her before taking off again. The woman says she was later able to talk her way out of the vehicle, and then called police.

Officers say the man is described as being Hispanic, about 5-foot 5-inches tall, roughly 150 pounds with no facial hair.

He was driving a newer black or gray extended cab pick-up truck with a lot of lights on the front of it.

If you know anything that could help investigators, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at: 1-800-222-TIPS.
