Minnesota Wild players visit Albert Lea

ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) -- It may be three months until we see the stars of the NHL hit the ice again, but the Minnesota Wild are rounding up support for the upcoming season now.

As a part of their multi-state tour, Wild players and officials made a stop in Albert Lea Wednesday afternoon.

Fans rushed to the Albert Lea City Arena to bask in their hockey fandom.

Memorabilia, team news and a chance to meet defenseman Clayton Stoner and goaltender Darcy Kuemper, a great opportunity for fans young and old.

The Minnesota Wild Road Tour is almost finished up, with Albert Lea being toward the end of its 18-city party.

Stoner and Kuemper were part of the final leg of this tour, with other Wild players and personnel taking on other locations.

Wild players are itching to get back on the ice, but these past few days have all been about the fans.

Another stop included Des Moines, Iowa..home of the team's new Iowa Wild franchise, which has already seen remarkable ticket sales for their inaugural season.
