ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Gov. Mark Dayton was at Mayo Clinic on Monday and he was in pain.
His spokesman said he was hurrying down the stairs Saturday and landed funny, hearing a loud "pop" in front of his left hip.
Mayo doctors found he tore a muscle and told him to take it easy, so he'll be using a cane or a crutch for a couple of weeks.
The 66-year-old governor has canceled his public appearances for the rest of the week.
Last winter, the first-term Democrat was sidelined for weeks by major back surgery.
