Berg's Antiques closes in Oronoco

ORONOCO, Minn. (KTTC) -- Hundreds of items were up for bid as Berg's Antiques in Oronoco sold off their inventory at an auction this past weekend.

For more than 50 years, owner Mary-Lou Berg and her husband sold antiques they collected from all over the country.  After Mary-Lou passed away this winter, part of her business was bought by a neighbor, while the rest was being sold at auction on Saturday.

"It's kind of sad to see--this was always here and people knew if they needed directions they could come in," said Erv DeVlaeminck of Oronoco.  "Mary-Lou would always joke, 'Yeah, I'm the information center for Oronoco.'"

Berg was also the founder of Gold Rush Days.
