MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Xcel Energy says nearly 140,000 customers are without power in Minnesota following severe thunderstorms.
The company reports about 1,500 outages affecting about 139,600 customers before 7 a.m. Friday.
The National Weather Service says some parts of Minnesota got 4 to 5 inches of rain in just a couple hours. More storms are expected tonight.
