ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Workers at a dairy plant in Rochester were evacuated Wednesday morning after an apparent ammonia leak.
Hazmat and fire crews responded to AMPI or Associated Milk Producers, Incorporated on South Broadway in Rochester just after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
That's where a worker had reported an ammonia release. Crews then evacuated the building.
The cause of the leak is being investigated as the crews continue their inspection.
As of 12 p.m. Wednesday, officials said there appears to be no threat to the public and that air measurements have indicated that the leak is contained.
