10 Who Make A Difference: Volunteers For Victims Services

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The United Way and KTTC are once again shining the light on some people who are making a difference in our community, with the KTTC/United Way '10 Who Make A Difference'.

Our first recipient is the group, Volunteers For Victim Services.

The program is comprised of 32 Volunteers who help operate a 24 hour

sexual-assault crisis call line service.

The volunteers help victims of any crime through the process; anything from the legal work, to just someone to talk to in a time of need.

The program has served Dodge Fillmore and Omsted Counties since 1976.

Last year the program logged just more than 6,500 volunteer hours.

Thanks for all you do, Volunteers For Victims Services... and congratulations on being one of this year's 10 Who Make A Difference!
