CRESCO, Iowa (KTTC) -- An Iowa business owner was arrested in Minnesota and charged with 4 counts of indecent contact with a child.
Cresco police say they started an investigation involving Clarence Melvin Bouwma, who owns Cresco Lanes, about possible assaults against underage customers in May of 2013. According to witnesses and victims, Clarence allegedly had inappropriate contact with two girls ages 11 and 13.
Police are also conducting an investigation into a third victim, a 12 year old girl.
Several charges of supplying alcohol to a minor and engaging in criminal activity in his place of business were also filed against Bouwma.
Police say Bouwma fled to Minnesota when their investigation first started. Cresco police applied for an arrest warrant on the indecent contact charges. He was eventually arrested by Blaine, Minnesota police on June 10, 2013, and held for extradition back to Iowa.
He is currently being held at the Howard County Jail on $20,000 bond.
