Dubuque has been named an All-America City for the third time.

The announcement came Sunday evening at an awards ceremony in Denver.

The All-America City award is sponsored by the National Civic League. The award recognizes 10 communities annually for outstanding civic impact and action planning.

Dubuque first received the All-America City award in 2007 and again in 2012.
