ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- All it took was one day of sunshine, and now it's really time to bust out the bug spray.
Thanks to our wet, cold spring, officials say we can expect a big brood of mosquitoes this summer-- and they're likely hatching now.
In the Twin Cities Thursday, the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District hovered over Plymouth, dropping a special bacteria over places mosquitos breed to try to inhibit their growth.
The M.M.C.D. has treated 7 Minnesota counties this season in an effort to keep the bugs at bay.
They say you can spare yourself from lots of bites by getting rid of standing water that pools on your property.
