Austin man cited for careless driving-- on his bicycle
AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- An Austin man was cited for careless driving-- after he steered his bicycle into the back of a trailer.
Austin police say the man was riding his bicycle on East Oakland Ave. in Austin just after 2 p.m. Tuesday when he ignored stop signs and collided with a trailer being pulled by an Austin Utilities vehicle turning onto 16th Street Northeast.
He was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and treated for minor injuries.
Police say the man appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was cited for careless driving.
