ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- This week marks the 27th Annual National Wheelchair Sports and Recreation Camp in Stewartville.
Miracle lodge hosts the event each year, which is a week full of recreational activities for those with disabilities and their caregivers to partake in.
Activities range from boat racing, softball, scuba diving, horseback riding, and on this particular day-- dodge ball.
Organizers say it's great to see familiar faces return each year. "One gentleman has been here 22 years in a row. And he goes, 'you know I look forward to it every year and I'd never miss it for anything.' and it ends up being a big reunion," said Bob Bardwell, director of the camp.
This year drew roughly 80 participants from 12 different states. And organizers say that number keeps growing each year.
