ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A proposal by Olmsted Medical Center for a new sports medical facility at its 55th St. location will have to go back to the drawing board.
The Rochester Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the proposal at Wednesday night's meeting and voted to reject it, saying that the building plan offered is not in compliance with the zoning requirements.
The 55th Street location is in what is called a special district, and the proposal did not meet the standards of the city's special district rules.
While the council rejected the proposal, they did say if OMC come back with a plan that fits into the regulations, they would likely pass it.
