ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- KTTC viewers have opened up their checkbooks and donated thousands of dollars to the 'Time To Care' campaign to help victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes.
As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, Melanie Tschida, executive director of the southeastern Minnesota chapter of the American Red Cross said nearly $15,000 had been collected so far!
Tables accepting donations opened at area Hy-Vee stores at 7 a.m. Wednesday. We'll be manning donation tables outside all three Hy-Vee locations in Rochester until 7 p.m. today, accepting cash and checks for the Red Cross.
Donations are also being accepted until 7 p.m. at Hy-Vee in Austin, Albert Lea, Winona and Faribault, as well.
Plus, we'll have live coverage all day on KTTC NewsCenter too.
So stop by and help us help those who need it the most, until 7 p.m. Wednesday, at all three Rochester area Hy-Vees-- plus Hy-Vees in Austin, Albert Lea, Winona and Faribault-- with the KTTC's 'Time To Care' campaign.
